Orville Huntington is the Director of Parks and Wildlife with the Tanana Chiefs Conference. Orville worked for the US Fish and Wildlife Service for fourteen years as a Tribal Biologist. He has served his community as a Huslia Tribal and City Council member. He currently sits on the Alaska Native Science Commission as Chair, Alaska Native Steering Committee on the Alaska Native Fund Conservation Program, EPA Tribal Science Council and on the State of Alaska Board of Fisheries. He was recently appointed to sit on the national Native American Fish and Wildlife Society Board of Directors. He has previously served on many boards and committees, including the Native Corporation K’oyitl’ots’ina Ltd. Board of Directors for the villages of Huslia, Hughes, Allakaket and Alatna, the Chair of the Interior Athabascan Tribal College Board of Trustees, Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) Board of Directors (Interior Village Representative), the National Science Foundation Office of Polar Programs Advisory Committee, and the University of Alaska Rural Education Panel as the AFN representative.
